I highly recommend this branch of Avis, which is at the Ocala airport. I have rented from them a number of times. Counter service is always helpful, well-informed, and efficient - much better than I've had at certain other car rental companies. Best of all, there is no extra charge for my spouse to drive the car - SOME companies charge an extra-driver fee for that, but not Avis.
Staff is very friendly & fast , great service. I even needed an extension & was able to accommodate my feelings of being "worry free" . This is by far the best location & great company. There so great, I even reserved again for 2 weeks from now. Thank You Avis...
Made reservations by phone 2 days prior to needing the car, went in to pay and pick up and was told they have to run a credit check unless we had 2 credit cards,why? 1 credit card wasn't enough? And Really, a credit check!!! Wth! It's not like we were going to purchase a car, bad customer service. We didn't rent from avis, glad to say there are other car rental companies we will gladly rent from like hertz or enterprise.
I rate it a one star but If I had a choice I'd rate it 0 Stars. I rented a car online for a special price 45 minutes before rental time they called and I couldn't pick up cause I was already on my way there, they left a message saying they didn't have the vehicle I rented by they had plenty I tried calling back but was the whole 45 minutes I was on hold, when I got there they didn't give me the price I rented it for which was $30.00 they wanted $90.00 instead they didn't want to give it to me for my reserved price they did the switch and bait. They lady was rude and a liar. go figure
This was a great place to rent a car. The price was very reasonable, the staff was friendly and professional, and the process efficient. I got a call the day before to let us know that the car wouldn't be available until 10 instead of 8, saving me a trip. I didn't mind having to wait to pick it up, but I would have been unhappy if I got there and there were no cars. So they handled the situation just right!
