I made my appointment back in September for an appointment today, 11-1. When asked the reason for my visit I specifically told them that I am currently on a specific medication and gave them the name of it. I'm new to the area and just looking for a new psychiatrist to prescribe my meds. I was told my appt is at 8:30 but to arrive 30 min early for paperwork (as most offices tell you these days) After waiting 2 months for the appt (I understand they are busy) I arrived at 8:00 this morning and waited behind a couple of people to sign in at 8:03. Apparently, you automatically get marked as a no-show and your appt cancelled if you don't check-in 30 minutes prior ON THE DOT! They did manage to get me in for a 9:00 appt so I waited. The offices are not private, they are cubicle style and the door was not closed when I entered. Other patients in the waiting room sitting not 10' from me. I carried on because I need my prescription. After a few preliminary questions, I set my medication bottle down and am immediately told that I should have been informed they cannot prescribe this type of medicine and if I were treated there they would "try something different". Well, I was certainly not told that or I would not have waited 2 months. I've been under the care of a psychiatrist for years. I've been diagnosed and I have a treatment plan with medication that works! Why would I try something different? That goes against every doctor's advice I've ever heard. I asked if I had any other options or a different doctor I could see that could prescribe the meds and was given no other options for treatment.

Needs state audit. Potential law suit. This place is a joke and inconvenience for adult health. Waiting is 3 hrs or more for lack of Doctors. Only have 1. Also he don't ask questions just prescribed new medication.

Also there was a couple young ladies there that did have extreme mental health issues staff was constantly laughing and mocking both of them, and when one of the girls got worse she was told and asked if she wanted " that special treatment" from them. Which did imply something sexual, at that point I watched her behavior go from bad to worse. She was obviously scared. No ONE, NO ONE WITH A MENTAL ILLNESS should ever be made fun of, threatened, or treated the way they were.

Completely changed my moms medication she is having several side effects. Now they want us to go over there and wait if someone doesn't show for their appointment so she can be seen and change medication over to old ones. I wouldn't recommend to anyone..

Only bring your loved ones here if you dont care about them. My child was threatening suicide and they turned us away stating since law enforcement wasnt with him, they wouldn't see him. Depsite the fact under their own page it states parents can refer thier children for baker act purposes.

When I was admitted staff was suppose to check on me every 15minutes, no one ever did. I never felt as though staff was trying to help or had any genuine concern for my well being

A family member was admitted due to suicidal/homicidal tendencies via Baker Act and released less than 24 hours later. None of my calls were returned and I got the distinct impression that few people were working, and that I was getting the run around. They completely blew this important opportunity to accurately diagnose him, and now it will be even more difficult for us to get him into treatment in the future. What a sad state of affairs and poor excuse for medical care. AVOID.

My old doctor is 2 hours from me and I'm about to run out of medication. Thank you Centers for what I'm about to have to go through without medication while I continue to search for a proper doctor.
