Bad customer service and they don't like kids... even if they are 'customers' (note didn't say 'patients'). I went there for the first time. and last. They are outdated as they do not deal with technology. Meaning a simple e-mail. Went there with my son, who had an appointment after me, the technician kept complaining about my son, and how that is how they don't like kids in the working area. This lady was allergic to kids. Do no bring your kid. Even when my son was next for an appointment the same day. The Doctor is ok, but he can't seem to keep up with his appointments. Cancelled on me twice. Since they don't use technology at all it was extremely difficult to send me an e-mail with a cancellation notice. So if they can't get a hold of you over the phone do not expect them to let you know doctor cancelled your appointment. Not their problem. I just gave up on this practice and decided to change. Completely unsatisfied.
Dr. Van Ness is an excellent dentist. My husband and I have been going to him for many years, for everything from cleanings to crowns. It is a no-frills type of office in an unassuming little strip center, but Dr. V's work is first-rate, and he is a cheerful guy. The staff are all very nice. Once you are established as a patient, they will do their best to get you in quickly when necessary.
I purchased a Groupon deal for "Dental Exam, Cleaning, and X-rays (Up to $232 Value)" and was informed when I called that the earliest appointment would be 3 months out. When I asked if there was anything earlier due to a possible broken tooth or lost filling and I was informed by the slightly rude receptionist that it would be an additional $80 for the dentist to look at that tooth. Stay away. This place seems very shady. There are plenty of dentist in this town, don't waste your time or smile on this one.
Beware of this awful establishment. The staff is friendly to your face, but talk so much crap,behind your back, including their own co-workers. I would not want to work or be a customer. They do not keep up to date on their books. They double bill constantly. I've been going here for 6 years, and they still can't get it right. They need to be put out of business. Poor dental practices as well, there are only 2 hygienists that know what their doing, and God help you if you get one of the others. Sorry, VanNess, your work is good, but staff is bad and below average.
Love the staff and Dr. VanNess. He has given me faith in dentists again. If he went somewhere else, I would follow him. He is that good!
