Thank you for having gas with Irma coming. I am sure your employees would rather at home doing their prep but you were a very welcome sight. Also given the lines and demand it was very well organized.
Nice place to refuel and get Subway. Nice staff. Busy with lots of people during lunch hour, but very fast Subway service.
Normally would not stop there. This visit was in the wake of Hurricane Irma. I look at three things at "Gas Stops". 1. Are the windshield cleaners filled with windshield cleaner solution and water. (YES) 2. Are the bathrooms clean. (Yes) 3. Does the pump handle have a set tab so I can do other things, or do I have to hold the gas nozzle open. (YES) If they can take of little things during exigent times, this Love's Travel Stop is worth your time and business. I was also pleased with the vehicle entry, the exit, and availability of parking.
Nice enough travel stop, but the dining options leave a lot to be desired. Choice of Subway or Chester's Chicken here. I'll take chicken any day but they charge you full price for a meal while giving you less food. Had to ask again for the second side item my dinner came with and when I asked for a biscuit was told they do not have any. I asked if I could come back for one later and they told me "we never have them period." Guess I'll never be eating here again either
I stopped while returning home to Florida after being evacuated due to Hurricane Irma and of all the stops I made this team had an organized line to help everyone get gas without chaos. It was a fabulous experience amidst stressed our drivers! Job well done!
